NUTRILITE and AC MILAN keep on playing together

Since 2008 NUTRILITE has been the official nutrition supplements brand of the red-and-blacks, as well as the scientific partner of the biochemistry and nutrition area of MilanLab. The company and AC Milan are teammates also outside the football pitch, supporting Milan Foundation projects.

A winning couple that easily overcomes the seven-year itch by continuing to co-operate actively inside and outside the football pitch.

The agreement has been signed today at the presence of Jaap Kalma, AC Milan Commercial Director, and Michael Meissner, Vice President Corporate Affairs Amway Europe.  It is focused on the continuation of the scientific cooperation between NUTRILITE experts and MilanLab, the high-technology interdisciplinary research center at the service of the red-and-black club.

It matches two global leaders, NUTRILITE and MilanLab, working together with a scientifically evidence based approach on the key role of nutrition and food supplementation in supporting sports performance and, more in general, in reaching an overall well-being” – said Michael Meissner, Vice President Corporate Affairs Amway Europe.

The partnership between NUTRILITE and MilanLab takes concrete shape in the definition of a personalized program based on the real needs of every single athlete, identified thanks to strict medical examinations, including genetic, blood and biodynamic tests, in addition to a comprehensive nutritional questionnaire. Starting from the results of these accurate analyses, NUTRILITE experts and MilanLab work together to create a customized nutrition and food supplements plan for each soccer champion.

NUTRILITE and AC Milan are also best teammates in social responsibility.  In the past NUTRILITE and Milan Foundation, the Club’s NGO, have supported several projects dedicated to disadvantaged children, under the umbrella of the  Amway One by One™ global campaign for children.

The key element of all these initiatives is sport and its educational and social role from the early age, as well as fundamental practice for health and well-being.

Among the several projects supported is the realization of a Center for vascular diseases at the Buzzi children hospital in Milan and the construction of two multifunctional sports facilities;  one in Pagliare di Sassa, after the 2009 earthquake that strongly affected the Abruzzo Italian region, and one in Naples, in a high social risk area lacking in structures to let the youngers meet and socialize.
